There are actually two of them at the gym, one at each door. We have been open a year and I have yet to replace the bags of sanitizer! It’s the season of persistent colds (and stomach “issues” that people talk less about) and there are a lot of little things we can do to prevent picking up germs. If you are a diligent hand washer you are less likely to get sick, but the reality is that we don’t always have access to the sink. It’s not a bad idea to hit a squirt of the sanitizer on your way in and out of the gym (when was the last time you washed your steering wheel or keys???). Jesse and I do our best to keep the surfaces/door handles etc in the gym clean but there is a ton of traffic through here every day so wiping down your sweaty medballs, abmats, benches etc with the towel and disinfectant will always be appreciated by the people in the next class.

Remember veggies?

They aren’t exactly as abundant or delicious as they were a few months ago, but I am a FIRM believer that you can avoid a lot of sickness just by keeping the fresh fruit and veggie intake high. It’s the best vitamin source out there.

And… if you are someone who kills oncoming sickness with products from the health food store you should know that on Wednesday, Nov. 3rd and Thursday, Nov. 4th Health Food Heaven is having a sale on all regular priced products by not charging the HST. Good deal. Take advantage of it.

And finally, get lots of sleep!
